Triumphant debut of La Dolfina and second victory of La Aguada Las Monjitas

After a great start of the event, on Saturday 11/11, the third day (second in Zone A) of the 124th Argentine Open HSBC Polo Championship, the highest interclub event in the world, took place in the Argentinean Campo de Polo in Palermo with the participation of 10 teams of 29 to 40 goals of valorization, grouped into two zones, made up of the most important players from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Spain, South Africa and Uruguay.
In the first round the four-time champion La Dolfina Sancor Seguros made its debut in the tournament, who defeated La Esquina LM Navarro Correas without any problems for 24 to 6. Adolfo Cambiaso (h), author of 6 goals in the date, started playing his Open of Palermo No. 25, and was 6 of the record held by the brothers Eduardo and Alberto Heguy, who are playing their tournament No. 31.
Meanwhile, in the second round on court 1, La Aguada Las Monjitas achieved its classification at Palermo 2018 (it reached 600 points in the Ranking), after beating La Irenita San Germán Seguros by 12 to 7.

Despite the 21 days without a pole since the defeat against Alegría in Hurlingham, La Dolfina did not show any lack of rhythm at any time and managed the match from start to finish, with an excellent set game that allowed him to increase the chukker's advantages to Chukker, until finishing with a very expressive 24-6.
The great figure of the party was Juan M. Nero, not only for the ironclad defense of his wicker but also for the aggressive form in which he went on to attack, converting 9 goals, 4 of them on the move. The fourth was the key to the match, Miguel Novillo Astrada broke it (finally ended up being the match figure), scored three goals and led the victory of the orange team, which would never lose the advantage, despite the insistence of the team Irenita, in which Guillermo Willington stood out. Tras un gran inicio de certamen, el sábado 11/11 se disputó la tercera jornada (segunda por la Zona A) del 124° Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo HSBC, el máximo certamen mundial de interclubes, que se lleva a cabo enel Campo Argentino de Polo en Palermo con la participación de 10 equipos de 29 a 40 goles de valorización, agrupados en dos zonas,conformados por los jugadores más importantes de Argentina, Brasil, Canadá, España, Sudáfrica y Uruguay.
En primer turno hizo su debut en el torneo el tetracampeón La Dolfina Sancor Seguros, que derrotó sin contemplaciones a La Esquina L. M. Navarro Correas por 24 a 6. Adolfo Cambiaso (h), autor de 6 goles en la fecha, comenzó a jugar su Abierto de Palermo N° 25, y quedó a 6 del récord que ostentan los hermanos Eduardo y Alberto Heguy, que están jugando su torneo N° 31.
En tanto, en segundo turno en la cancha 1, La Aguada Las Monjitas logró su clasificación a Palermo 2018 (llegó a 600 puntos en el Ranking), tras vencer a La Irenita San Germán Seguros por 12 a 7.
El domingo 12, por la cuarta fecha (segunda de la Zona B) se enfrentarán a las 14.00, en la cancha 2, el reciente ganador del Abierto del Hurlingham Club, Ellerstina Johor, vs. Chapaleufú Cardón; y a partir de las 16.30, en la 1, Alegría Land Rover vs. Cría Yatay Colony.
A pesar de los 21 días sin polo desde la derrota ante Alegría en Hurlingham, La Dolfina no se mostró falto de ritmo en ningún momento y manejó el partido de principio a fin, con un excelente juego de conjunto que le permitió ir acrecentando ventajas chukker a chukker, hasta terminar con un 24-6 muy expresivo.
La gran figura del partido fue Juan M. Nero, no sólo por la férrea defensa de sus mimbres sino también por la forma agresiva en la que pasó al ataque, convirtiendo 9 goles, 4 de ellos de jugada. “Pelón” Stirling tuvo una gran primera mitad, “Adolfito” fue imparable cada vez que encaró y Pablo Mac Donough manejó al equipo y cerró el partido con dos buenos goles. Por el lado de La Esquina, que se complica con la clasificación para 2018 (debería ganar los 2 encuentros restantes y esperar resultados), jugó un buen partido a pesar del resultado y en varias oportunidades quiso imponer su ritmo, de la mano de su medio juego integrado por los experimentados Mariano Aguerre y Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade, quienes, a pesar del gran esfuerzo mostrado, no lograron acercar a su equipo en el marcador.
En segundo turno, La Aguada y La Irenita jugaron un primer chukker de gran ritmo, con idas y vueltas constantes, que increíblemente terminó 0-0. Hasta finalizar el tercer período el partido era muy parejo, con una mínima ventaja de los hombres de Open Door, en un encuentro de poco goleo (3 tantos en igual cantidad de períodos).
El cuarto fue la clave del encuentro, Miguel Novillo Astrada la rompió (finalmente terminó siendo la figura del match), convirtió tres golazos y encaminó la victoria del conjunto naranja, que no perdería nunca la ventaja, a pesar de la insistencia del equipo de La Irenita, en el que se destacó Guillermo Willington. El equipo de los Novillo Astrada volvió a jugar muy por sobre su hándicap y cerró el partido con dos goles de la gran sorpresa de la temporada, Alfredo Bigatti, que nuevamente disputó un partidazo en la cancha 1 de Palermo.
La Aguada Las Monjitas logró la clasificación para el 2018 y ahora buscará la victoria ante La Esquina, para quedar en condiciones de definir la Zona ante La Dolfina en un par de semanas.
